Arno Bingemann is Vice President and Head of Supply Chain Planning for BASF Group globally. He is located in BASF’s headquarter in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Prior to his current role, he was within BASF Group’s business transformation program responsible for the global harmonization and optimization of BASF’s Supply Chain Planning processes, as well as for the overall program for North and South America and therefore located in New Jersey, USA. Arno performed a variety of functions within the BASF Group such as Supply Chain Consulting and Supply Chain Management in business units. He also completed assignments in Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for setting up a regional distribution network and for regional service provider management. In December 2011 he was Overall Winner of the Supply Chain Excellence Awards in the UK, with the BASF supply chain project.
Prof. Dr. Constantin Blome, CPM, CPSM is Chairholder of the GSK Biologicals Chair for Strategic Sourcing and Procurement at Louvain School of Management; this endowed chair was installed in 2009. He is also Visiting Professor at the European Business School of the Supply Chain Management Institute Wiesbaden. Before he was lecturer and research fellow at several international universities such as Michigan State University, IAE Aix-en-Provence, Indian Institute of Bangalore and Luzern School of Business. He worked as consultant and advisor for business development for large companies such as Merck, Deutsche Telekom, Siemens, Dun & Bradstreet, and many others.
Luc De Munck is Managing Director of bpost international, the Business Unit in charge of the cross-border mail and parcel logistics of bpost, the Belgian national postal operator. bpost international is present in 3 continents with offices in North-America, Europe and Asia. Luc De Munck and his team have a leading role in developing a cutting edge future cross-border postal parcel network and e-commerce solutions. Mario Goethals is Principal at AT Kearney, member of the Process Industries account team with a strong affinity for Operations in general. He joined AT Kearney as an Associate in August 2000. A.T. Kearney Principals are elected to their position. Their everyday responsibilities involve the development of engagement strategy and business development, while dealing directly with clients and managing client engagements. Principals also become involved in internal firm-building projects that create visibility within the firm and have other opportunities for career development. Before joining AT Kearney he was Planning Manager Europe at Tenneco Automotive.
Hans Mak is Vice President Head of Procurement Western Europe, for DHL Global Services. Hans spent his full professional life within the logistic arena. Having a legal background, he started in Human Resource Management, including management development, training development and competence development. Responsible for Quality Management, Hans led several process improvement workshops in relation to health, safety and environment as well as to quality. Hans is currently responsible for Procurement within DHL Western Europe including the countries in the Benelux and Iberia as well as France. His main topics are building an efficient organization that is on the one hand close to the end users in the business and on the other hand leveraging know-how and volumes to the highest possible level.
Bob Martens is advocaat-vennoot bij het advocatenkantoor DLA Piper, gekend om hun sterk gespecialiseerd departement publiek recht. (www.dlapiper.com). Bob Martens treedt nagenoeg op in alle belangrijke PPS projecten in het Vlaamse Gewest en volgt eveneens heel wat lokale PPS projecten op. Geert Pauwels is sinds 1 februari 2011 benoemd als Gedelegeerd Bestuurder van NMBS Logistics. Deze onderneming is een filiaal van de NMBS Groep, dat de commerciële en operationele activiteiten en ondernemingen omvat binnen de vrachtactiviteit van NMBS. Deze zijn onder meer IFB, Xpedys, de activiteiten van het vroegere B-Cargo Operations, en de operationele dochterondernemingen in binnen- en buitenland. Het is de visie van de groep om een kwalitatieve, performante internationale logistieke groep te worden, die multimodale diensten levert aan transportbedrijven en industriële ondernemingen in Europa. Geert Pauwels leidde de facto deze groep ondernemingen reeds sinds 2008, als Head of SNCB Freight Division. In april 2005 werd Geert betrokken bij de NMBS door zijn benoeming als Gedelegeerd Bestuurder van IFB, intermodaal en terminal operator en lid van NMBS.
Laurent Pirard is Director Procurement Solutions at AT Kearney, and part of the European Leadership Team responsible for developing procurement & analytical solutions activities in Europe. Activities that reach from tactical cost savings, over outsourced strategic sourcing services to complete procurement transformation. Before joining AT Kearney in 2007, he was VP Consulting Business Development for Ariba. He was also General Manager of Freemarkets in France and consultant with the Boston Consulting Group. He holds a Finance Management Degree from Solvay Business School and an MBA from INSEAD.
Dr. Walther Ploos Van Amstel is Associate Professor aan de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam en Logistiek Expert bij TNO Mobiliteit. Hij is meer dan 20 jaar werkzaam als organisatie-adviseur op het gebied van logistiek, supply chain management en internationale distributie. Hij richt zich op logistieke procesinnovaties, intermodale distributienetwerken, samenwerking in logistieke ketens en risicomanagement. Van 2002 tot 2009 was hij deeltijds hoogleraar aan de Nederlandse Defensie Academie in Breda en Den Helder. Hij deed er ondermeer onderzoek naar “winnende logistieke netwerken”. Hij doceert aan verschillende andere universiteiten waaronder de Universiteit van Nyenrode, Tilburg, Twente, Eindhoven, Erasmus, Maastricht en de Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School. Hij heeft diverse boeken gepubliceerd over logistiek en supply chain management.
Prof. Dr. Mr. Ing. Sicco Santema is Professor Marketing and Supply Management at theTechnical University of Delft. Next to his academic activities he is also owner and director of Scenter. Scenter helps organizations in their strategic positioning in supply chains. Before he was Professor e-business marketing and procurement at Eindhoven University. Together with Jeroen Van De Rijt he wrote the book “Prestatieinkoop, wie steekt er boven het maaiveld uit?” (1st print 2009, revised release in 2011). In close cooperation with Dean Kashiwagi they have spread the concept of Best Value Procurement in the Netherlands.
Ignace Van Doorselaere is sinds 2004 CEO bij Van de Velde, het beursgenoteerde Belgische lingeriebedrijf. In 2002 richtte hij het adviesbureau 4F rond “performance ethics” op. Voordien was hij bij Interbrew respectievelijk Managing Director van Interbrew Holland, en Executive VP van Interbrew Western Europe. Tussen 1983 en 1987 werkte hij bij 3M en Puratos als Marketing Manager.
Johan Van Overtveldt is Hoofdredacteur van Knack en van Trends. Hij is Doctor in de Toegepaste Economisch Wetenschappen, en behaalde een MBA in Leuven. Hij begon zijn carrière bij Trends als journalist. Na een overstap naar ING als kaderlid en Shoeconfex als Algemeen Directeur, werd hij redacteur en chief economist van Trends. Hij werkte nadien oor het ondernemersplatform VKW, eerst als directeur van de denktank Metena, dan als Algemeen Directeur.
Mark Van Spall is Senior Director Strategic Sourcing bij ASML, de grootste en meest geavanceerde producent ter wereld van lithografie machines voor de chip industrie. Daarvoor was hij binnen ASML verantwoordelijk voor Procurement van Optische Modules. Voordat Mark bij ASML is gestart was hij ruim 10 jaar Managing Director van adviesbureau Berenschot. Hij was verantwoordelijk voor de adviesgroep Purchasing & Supply chain management en tevens New Business Development voor Berenschot Groep.
Pol Verbeke is Adviseur en Diensthoofd Overheidsopdrachten en Juridisch Advies bij het OCMW Gent. Hij is ook lid van de Stuurgroep e-Tendering voor Lokale Besturen van de Vlaamse Overheid. Voordien was hij Hoofd Aankoop en Logistiek bij OCMW Gent. Van opleiding is hij Licentiaat TEW, en hij heeft een bijzonder licentiaat menselijke ecologie en verkeers- en vervoerseconomie.
Christophe Veys is Procurement Legal Advisor and Programme Coordinator of the Knowledge Centre Procurement of Innovation at IWT (Innovation Agency Flanders). Christophe has a Master in Law from the University of Ghent, a Master in European Law from the University of Brussels and obtained a degree from the Master Class in Supply Management and Public Procurement of the University of Antwerp. During the last 12 years he was actively involved in the area of Public Procurement as Procurement legal advisor and with the delivery of procurement services towards enterprises and public authorities. In the past three years his main task consisted in the development of a new methodology for the implementation of Procurement of Innovation and Pre-commercial procurement in particular. The Belgium government has set aside a budget of 10M€ for the launch of the first piloting projects. More than 15 projects where launched, the developed PCP management techniques have been recognised both at national and international level, and by the European Commission. In addition he was project leader of the OMC-PTP project (2007-2009) on Procurement of Innovation. The OMC process highlighted the need for the development of practical tools to encourage the sharing of good practice in the area of public procurement of innovation.
Elke Vicca is Coördinator Aankoop en Logistiek bij de Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven. Zij stuurt de werkgroep aankoop en logistiek aan, bestaande uit de facility managers van de 6 campussen. Zij is verantwoordelijk voor het organiseren van het volledige proces van overheidsaankopen en voor het uitwerken van de interne controleprocedures. Zij zorgt voor implementeren en opvolgen van de automatisatie van de aankoopprocedure met behulp van ProCure. Voor zij in 2009 begon bij de KH Leuven was ze KMO-relatiebeheerder bij KBC Vilvoorde.
